A cool wind blew as the large bulk pulled her way towards the meadow. The small colt was locked to her side as she stopped, "Alright Heat Wave, this is the first time you will be in the kingdom. Please, stay close, and keep safe." She nuzzled her son, already he was so tall and strong. Her eyes sparkled everytime she saw he scammper in a trot or gallop. Her heart melts when he speaks, his voice still the same as the day she found him, small, battered, and tramatized.
Small eyes looked up at his mother, colt smiled as he jumped up in a joyous motion, "Yes mother! I promise I will stay right beside you!" His little voice squeeled. He looked over the meadow, not seeing any, but he knew there were horses here. He pondered a moment if this was where his mother got her orders, but stopped wondering when she moved and he trotted to follow.

Rusty-coloured equine heard the new horses coming into his lands, ears pricked to listen to their movements. Ah, a colt, a mare, both aligned to him. A grin tore at his handsome features, carrying himself out from the brush of the denser part of the meadow.
A short nicker left his parted mouth, head dipping to the mare. Hello, newcomers. Welcome to my lands.

She jumped lightly and looked to the stallion. His lands? Does that mean..the lord is dead?! She looked at him closely, then bowed her head, "Hello lord, I served the previous lord under these lands." She rose her head lightly, "Has he..passed?" Ah, she had been off for so long, the darks were horrid people, it took a long time to penetrate their forces and destroy them. She turned to Heat Wave and nudged him, telling him to be polite.
Heat Wave watched the stallion with wide eyes, he hadn't ever trusted males, not since his mothers death. With a nudge from Kaen he lowered his skull and eyed the male with suspition. he stayed down only a few moments before jumping up and sliding under Kaen for a sense of protection, "Moma.." He said, scared.
Kaen looked lightly at Heat Wave, then turned back to the lord, "Forgive him sir, his real mother was killed by stallions, he has never trusted a male since then." She turned her head to look at Heat Wave with sad eyes, then turned back, her head dropping again.

Retador gave a sadistic nod, Yes, he was killed by the darks.. and I wouldn't blame him. He snorted lightly afterwards, hide twitching as insect pestered him. Coal black eyes flickered over the two, no, he these horses did not seem to be familar, but, he never coudl tell.

She smiled lightly, "Yes, a tragedy indeed.." She said, her eyes telling differnt, "I can tell by your look you are wondering who exactly I am." She smiled, "I am Kaen, and, if you may have heard." She lowered her head and leaned in, "I am the head assassain." She rose, looking to Heat Wave, "Is, is my adopted son, Heat Wave.
Heat Wave gave way to a tad bit of courage as he proudly walked from under Kaens belly, his head held high as she locked to her side. His gaze averted the male, unsure of what to do in the king's presence.

He nodded slowly, Yes,yes. THe king chuckled at the colt, attempting to nudge him. Eyes turned back the mare. yes, she did seem to be quite strong- perfect for a war horse. Hello, Kaen. Hello, Heat Wave. I am Retador, the leader of all the good.

Heat Wave didnt move away from the nudge, he just looked at him mother questioningly. With her warm smile he felt safe. He perked up oddly and walked right up to Retador, raising his head. "I'm 1! Mom says I'm a big boy!" He looked at him proudly, then lowered his head, "nice to meet you Mr. Retador!"
Kaen looked at Heat Wave oddly, then back to Retador, "Yes lord, it is nice to meet you." She hoped he wasn't mad at Heat Wave for his outburst, "I am sorry for my son's actions, he does not yet know all his manners." She said, tad sharply while looking at her son.

No, no, he's fine. Oddly enough, he has better manners then I when I was a yearling.
A slight breeze picked up, as he remembered the day the 'lost' stallions had came and assassined the great war leader.

heat Wave smiled broadly, giving his mom one of those, 'I told you so' looks. He blinked and shook his head, then turned back to Retador, "This is the first time I've been here! Mom said I could've came before, but.." He stoped as Kaen spoke.
"I said that he had to be a good boy." She said, putting one of her legs infront of Heat. "Heat, darling, why don't you go graze while the adults talk." The look on her face didn't give him a choice. With a sad face, he walked away and started to nip at the grass, she turned back to Retador, "Sir, I came here to report my recent mission was a success, the lord would usually send me on another."

Great, wonderful.. but there's nothing we can do now. The evils are hiding, they're plotting and planning their next move. We only have to become strong, and watch carefully.
A sigh came, his large skull turning slightly to watch the colt. Bulk shifted slightly, eyes turning back to the amre.

She noded her head, "Alright sir." She looked at Heat Wave, "It is amazing how fast they grow..Ya know?" She smiled, the colt was once so small and innocent, and now, he was lively and free.
Heat Wave perked up and ran back to them, "Mommy! A bug is on my nose!" He screamed, a nice big butterfly had plopped itself on his nose, "Ahh! Scary! HELP!" He screamed, running around them in circles.

She smiled, stopping him and blowing a gush of wind, the butterfly flapping its wings and lifting of Heat's nose, plopping itself easily on Retador's head. She laughed, "Oh gosh..its been forever since I laughed!" She closed her eyes, controlling her laughter slowly.
Heat watched the butterfly with large eyes. He whinnyed in happiness and reared, his little hoves hicking out. He landed with a plop and spoke, "So mommy, does this mean I don't have to hide for awhile?"

Retador snorted, shaking the butterfly from his forehead. Bulk shifted slowly, weight being applied to another appendage. Eyes saw past the two equine, into the background of his home. So many worries, so many thoughts, one would eb stressed living like this for so many years.
Unfocused eyes stared blankly, he being thinking of the opast, present, and future. Many changes were to be in store, but that would wait, now he would have to wait until the evils make their move first

She smiled lightly, lowering her head, "I am sorry sir, but me and my son must take our leave." She called to Heat then smiled again to Retador, "Goodbye sir, just call if you ever need my services." With that, she and Heat turned and left, Heat looking over his shoulder sadly.

Retador nodded to them as they left, grinning at Heat Wave as he stared back at him. he, too, turned and began to make his way back to were he was before. Legs shifted gates, carrying him more quickly.
