If your character is a 2-year-old, it will not be able to fight at the same level as an 8-year-old. In fact, it will get it's but kicked. a younger horse will not be as good at almost anything as an older horse. If your character is captured, you should try to escape by all means, but if there are two or more guards, I doubt if you will escape. If, in your attempt, a mod or the owner posts to you, telling you it is impossible, just go along with it. Sometimes being captured can be the most interesting role-play situation.
This is important: keep your character in one place at one time. Imagine that the territory message boards are actual places. If Retador is in Thunderhill Warplains, how can he also be in the Sacred Valley? He can't. Be careful of this, or a mod will tell you to get your character into one area only. IF you're at one board, you can be in other posts on the SAME board.
Really now. Be realistic. Do real horses snarl? No. Do real horses eat other horses? No. Do real horses sneer? No. Do real horses growl? No. So your horse shouldn't do that, nor should it grin or do any other stuff real horses don't, besides speaking.
Now to power playing. It's also known as 'godmoding' and 'god playing'. None of that. When you join, please put this quote in it: bestow upon me. Your character cannot dodge every blow, nor can it know the future, know about other things going on, or control another character. If your confused, send me a PM and I will try to explain.
Any horse may challenge for a territory. If a mare is currently dominant, any other mare or stallion may challenge her. The stallion would challenge if he did not/could not rule as her dominant stallion. The challenge is either accepted [leading to a battle] or the current dominant acquieses [the challenger becomes dominant]. If the challenge is accepted, a battle is fought in the territory. Should the two fighters are unsure who won, post on the ooc board and a mod will judge the outcome. If their verdict is contested, ask me. my word is final.
A horse may be the only dominant of a territory. The current dominant will choose his or her partner when they see fit. No one may come along and attempt to claim the position.
You MUST write about the damage done to your horse when your battling. You may only do two actions per post. Or else you forfeit the battle.
Ah, yes. How could I forget? The rules on breeding. Yes, your character can breed anytime, but can only breed five (5) times a month.
Yes, your character may have twins, but it is very rare, so PM me whether or not you can have twins. Yes, your character may have a stillborn, or your character's foal may die. I do not care. Sometimes I will choose whether or not your foal dies. The mare must be pregnant for at least two days, and it can only show signs of pregnancy until it is about to give birth. Pregnancy may defect you in battle. You must raise your foal for at least four days. You may not have another foal while you already have one or are pregnant, but you may breed.
If your character is force bred, message me and I will Tell you if your mare is pregnant. Force breeding does count as breeding, so watch where your characters are.
No, you may choose your foal's stats. Message me and I will give a random gender, and a colour according to the parents colour.
Magic is part of this rping world, so use it wisely, or the gods will remove the power from you. Yes, the god of war grants you your powers when you join, and any god of your alliance may take it.
The gods CAN power play. That means they can fight, kill, or injure your character, but that will ONLY happen if your character disrespects the gods. I will post descriptions of the gods soon.

Ok, now for the out of character rules.
No copywritten picture. I will attempt to trace each picture, and if I do find the source and it is, you will get a warning. No unneeded swearing, I'm not exactly tight on it, but I don't want a foul mouth player. No graphical breeding. None. at all. No bickering with staff. Anything against the Proboards TOS, is against Avalore's rules.
